step summer eats
STEP’S Summer Eats Program provides children and their families with access to food during the summer, when free school meals are not available. Families are not required to provide any personal information.
No registration necessary. No ID required. Open to ALL children.
Children up to age 18 must be present to participate in this program.
STEP Breakfast/snack packs and weekend meal boxes
Program runs June 22-August 14
In an effort to bring food to where families already are, STEP distributes two different kinds of prepacked food kits to children and their families at multiple sites throughout the community.
Breakfast/Snack Packs
Prepacked kits of healthy snacks and breakfast items are available to any community member. Examples of what is included in the bags are shelf-stable milk, cereal cups, apple sauce, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, and fruit snacks.
Weekend Meal Boxes
Prepacked meal kits with healthy, kid-friendly options are available to any community member. Examples of what is included in the bags are mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, tuna, canned vegetables, and cereal.

Summer lunches
Program runs June 22-August 14
The School District provides free lunches at three school sites during the summer. In an effort to expand the reach of the free summer lunch program, STEP and the St. Louis Park school district have added two additional lunch distribution sites, Monday-Friday. Breakfast/snack packs will be distributed in addition to lunches at the summer lunch sites on Mondays. Weekend meal boxes will be distributed in addition to lunches on Fridays.
Children up to age 18 must be present to participate in this program.
