Newborn and Infant Program

Caring for a baby brings joy, but it also comes with many everyday needs that can feel overwhelming, especially when family budgets are stretched.

STEP’s Newborn and Infant Program provides essential items, including diapers, wipes, baby food, and formula, to St. Louis Park families with infants and toddlers. For new caregivers, we offer “new baby bags”. These bags offer a variety of baby items, including newborn clothing, blankets, diaper cream, baby shampoo, a baby toy, books, and more. These basics are costly but vital, and we want every parent and caregiver to know that they don’t have to face those expenses alone. By offering consistent support, STEP helps ensure that our youngest neighbors have what they need to grow healthy and strong.

Whether it’s a package of diapers, a container of formula, or other essential baby items, each is provided with the goal of reducing stress and giving parents the freedom to focus on bonding with and nurturing their little ones.

Clients can discuss this program with a social worker during their food appointment.
